Catnip Bravo and the VIP Incident

Hello, friends! Catnip Bravo here. Hero. Plush enthusiast. Apparently, a surprise celebrity guest.
That last one was also a surprise to me.
Our trip to the Mega-Toy Expo started with a line. A very long line. The kind where you have enough time to reconsider your shoes, your breakfast, and every decision that brought you there.
Firecracker Raccoon was complaining. SB Bunny said we should wait like everyone else. KaBao Bear was probably calculating how far we were from the nearest snack.
Then I spotted the VIP entrance.
Velvet rope. Fancy curtains. A very large panda wearing sunglasses indoors.
Clearly, something important was happening behind those curtains. As a responsible hero, I needed to investigate.
Very Important Pastries
I approached the entrance with confidence.
“VIP Catnip Bravo. I’m… expected.”
Expected by whom? Excellent question. I was hoping the panda knew.
He asked for my name. I said “Bravo.” He let us through.
Friends, sometimes having your name on your own hoodie is all the preparation you need.
Inside, we discovered cupcakes. Cookies. More cupcakes. KaBao took one bite and announced that it tasted like rich people.
I’m still unsure what that means, but he seemed pleased.
SB Bunny had concerns about whether we belonged there. I was giving those concerns my full attention while holding several desserts.
Then an announcement came over the speakers.
A Small Problem With Being Important
“Please welcome our surprise celebrity guest… CATNIP BRAVO!”
Oh.
Me.
They meant me.
Suddenly, someone handed me a microphone. This was a serious equipment mistake. My paws were already assigned to pastry management.
Firecracker, being the supportive friend, he is, suggested I give a speech.
Then he suggested I declare war.
SB Bunny looked like she was watching our entire future disappear into a paper shredder.
I looked out at the crowd. They were waiting for wisdom. Inspiration. Perhaps a few moving words from a brave young hero.
I gave them the truth.
“The raccoon made me do it!”
My Official Statement
For the record, I love toy expos. I love meeting people. I even love a little attention when I’ve had time to prepare something impressive, like a pose.
But if you see me approaching a velvet rope with confidence, please check whether I actually have a badge.
And if Firecracker offers to help with my speech, unplug the microphone.
Read Catnip Bravo and the VIP Incident above to witness my brief career as an important person.
I’m going back to being a regular person now.
Do regular people get to keep the cupcakes?

Your pal,Catnip Bravo
